A Race Against the Clock
Everyone has their own definition of time management. Some people use planners. Some rely on calendar reminders.
Seren prefers a combination of quick thinking, fast feet, and a little bit of comedy.
The adventure begins with Seren strolling through town in her cozy pink hoodie, shiny vinyl leggings, and comfortable shoes while chatting on her phone. Everything seems calm, everything seems under control, and with a relaxed smile she casually says, “Okay, yes.”
Then she glances at the time. Her eyes grow wide, her expression instantly changes from relaxed to completely astonished, and she blurts out, “So late?!” Without wasting another second, Seren springs into action.
The Great Dash Home
She races down one street, turns a corner, crosses another block, and keeps running as though every traffic light has secretly challenged her to a race. Her pink hoodie bounces with every step while her shiny vinyl leggings seem determined to keep up with her sudden burst of speed. The city quickly becomes her personal obstacle course as sidewalks, pathways, and stairways blur together while she hurries home with one mission in mind: arrive before anyone notices how late she almost was.
Finally, victory is in sight. Seren reaches her building, runs up the stairs, unlocks the front door, and lets out a huge sigh of relief. Mission accomplished. Now comes the fastest wardrobe transformation of the day. Off come the outdoor shoes, on go the elegant high heels, and the pink hoodie is neatly removed. In just a few moments, she has switched from “running through the streets” to looking perfectly calm and composed at home.
Perfect Timing
Seren settles comfortably into her chair, picks up her phone, and calmly makes another call. With complete confidence she says, “Yes, I’m home, and I’m waiting for you.” Then, wearing a proud smile, she delivers her own definition of excellent planning: “This is real time management.”
To make sure everyone understands, she repeats it in Filipino: “Oo, nasa bahay na ako at hinihintay kita. Ito ang tamang paghawak ng oras.” Looking at her now, no one would ever guess she had been racing through the streets only minutes earlier. Perhaps the greatest lesson wasn’t about running fast, but about knowing exactly when to hurry, when to relax, and how to arrive looking as though everything had gone according to plan. For Seren, that’s time management with a smile, a little laughter, and impeccable timing.
